 DD the Queen of Jigging... caught many fishes this day... winner of the most fish caught. Ikan Gerongong...

Their first fishing trip to Sangkar putih Sungai Bunga...

Amir caught his first fish - Gumbir, caught using Yusuf's fishing rod etc.. Yusuf claim ownership of this category, so he won the best & heaviest fish caught this day. 

The Stik caught belais kalu by bottom fishing...

Afiq, caught a catfish.. utik.

later he caught a crab... so was Yusuf.

Afiq caught a mini Umpak at our old favorite fishing spot.

Amir caught more gerongong... by jigging.

Ikan pusu by jigging too. 

I caught a Mangrove Jack by casting live shrimp near the rock behind me... a wonderful fishing trip experience so far for all of us.

End of the day... brought this back. Almost 2kg only.

Scenery at angling sites: 

Last week Friday, at Kuala Tutong... no fish caught.

Last week Saturday at Tungku Beach. 

Last Monday at Serasa end beach. Also no fish caught.

 Just relaxing at my favorite spot...

His first ever fish caught by casting. Location Pulau Cermin.

 Saturday morning 11/02/2012, he caught a trevally..

later caught this big 1 kg plus mangrove jack...

At our usual place, Pelambayan in the mid morning tide, 

and $1-10 shirmp lures.

Inactive, Still busy... 

Todays Menu: Ikan Putih (Languran) and Sembilang.

 Afiq & Yusuf caught a fish. In Brunei, we called it ikan Putih or Languran.

Rasidi caught a catfish, not the usual Utik but a better one, called Sembilang.

Stik's Biggest Mini GT

This is my biggest ikan Putih, caught at Pengkalan Sibabau waters, Mentiri.

 The only one I got for the whole morning, a 500g mini GT (ikan Putih). Forgot to take picture at the fishing site. Erawadi caught a smaller one too and caught many other big fishes at Muara waters.

 Started fishing here at 930am till 1030. Casting, wt various lures... but no luck. All trying as what the  STA guys did here. 

 My first time here...

 Later, decided to go back home, but Erawadi & friends saw me fishing there and ask me if I would like to join them fishing at the nearby fish farm area (kawan2 mempelawa mengail di kawasan Sangkar berhampiran).

Tried here....

 here..... and there.... and there..... but not luck too....

Until few minutes before went home, Hj Mohamad (the fish farm manager) tried and use his fishing skill and help caught one fish. Thank You Hj Mohamad for your kindness and nice accommodation at the farm.

Me and Erawadi are friends, classmates in SMJA Secondary School in 1986 in class Form 1E. Teacher Asimah was our form teacher.

 Alivio waiting & talking to our new friend, Fuad & his father (both sitting). Both experienced fishermen. They have caught 4 kg ikan Unggah, Barra, putih & Grouper many times here.

The Stik tried casting, bottom and floating using live shrimp but no luck here.

 Later, Yusuf used a dead shrimp, unshelled, and later caught this.

At the end, each us caught one fish. Ikan utik and ikan Kalakitok. 

Our new knowledge, ikan kalakitok has two type: white eye & red eye. 

Languran is also ikan putih, longer abdomen than ikan kalakitok. It can grow become a bigger one called ikan bebatik.

The Stik dapat seekor ikan languran, Putih. Ikan pertama selepas lebih 10 tahun nda turun mengail. Lapas ani ikan jenis yang sama dapat. Liat tia nanti....
