 We thought Me & Amir caught a MJ, or a GT but it wasnt.. just a catfish, Utik. Later I caught Grouper and a crab. cDan belurih ketambak, small. All catch & released.

From after Asar to Isya, as Muslims we must not left our daily prayers. Seawater as air wudhu. As long as we are clean & the place is clean from najis, it should be Ok.

Some of our nice moments since we started this blog...

Anyway Mangrove Jack Mission was a failure. No one of us caught the fish this month... too bad. 

Nada Unggah, Utik basar pun ada thrill jua reeling in.

Well then we will see you again InsyaAllah.

KKANGLERS BARRAMUNDI NIGHT

SALMI JAN Our guide to fishing Barramundi. He is our most popular barramundi angler friend.

 His record of 12 Barras in one night, 3 caught in 5 minutes..!

 Thats Anduping on his hand, the last fish he caught that night.

 

 He brought us here at night at his favorite Barramundi site to catch some...and caught them  in several minutes.

 An hour later...

 Is it mangrove jack or Anduping ?

 At the same boat, our "long time no see"friend (HjBakar said), he too caught few big Ketambak.

 At the front end of the boat, is Yardi, our old mate from previous work place...

  caught his only fish of the night, ikan Anduping .

 

The other end of the boat was Hj Rasidi, caught a Ray aka tuka tuka and ikan Ketambak. (Sorry - out of focus picture)

Middle part of the boat was the Stik.

Thank You Salmi Jan for guide and brought us there and thought us a very good lesson of Barra fishing. 

Remember to use kirikan and hook only. cast and reel in slowly... let the shrimp sink first.Shrimp size 10 or above.

UMPAK TU, YUSUF..!

 Yusuf caught a silver snapper. He struggled a little bit when reeling in. That fish is a fighter... Too bad we missed taking a video shot when it happened. 

cYusuf ani jarang turun. Kalau ia turun, ada saja ikan yang bisai bisai ia dapat. Kadang kadang kalah geng-geng yang lain terutama sekali uncle nya cAmir ah....

 Macam biasa, Shahdan dengan ketambak nya...

Look carefully, that is a grouper. Not the usual dotted one, but an oily one aka Kerapu minyak. Plenty found near the Nipah & Mangrove area.

2 CASTING LICENSES...!

Morning Me & Amir went out fishing near JPMC, casting using various lures.

Unsucessful here, even using ShadRap Hot Tiger SR7. 

Later, Me, Amir, HjRasidi with his brother-in-law went to Sungai Bunga. 

 Thats Mangrove Paradise Resort.

 Sungai Bunga Resettlement village.

 I Caught a lot of fish by jigging (menganjun). Here are ikan Geronggong.

 Amir caught some too.

 There is No Fish on the floor.. Mir..!

Check if there is some fish is calling....

 Lane Snapper & Grouper caught by Rasidi.

  

 Kirang-kirang & Pusu I caught by jigging.

Total we caught by jigging was 1.25kg. 

 Rasidi caught 2 of this ikan Kitang.

 Finally, Amir caught his first casting license, a mini GT 200g by using Surecatch-Pince Minnow lure.

 His second one, a 1kg Barramundi using same lure...but his line cut by the fish gill slit. Anyway manage to get the fish. Total weight he caught was 1.2kg.

This man is the winner of caught the most big fish and the heaviest. Gross weight of 1.4kg he caught that day.

Destination to Muara, Serasa & back to Pelambayan.

There are several fishing spot along our journey that day.

 Serasa waters.

 Old abandoned ships wreck.

 Near Pelumpong, facing Muara.

 Crabs, fishes etc. A lot here.

 Mangrove area.

 Near to Sungai Bunga resettlement village.

 Near the fishing farm at Sungai Bunga.

 Finally a good spot for us, under a green route pillar (pancang hijau) at Pelambayan.

 I wore my rain proof clothings. 

 That was the largest fish caught of the day.
